Andor - season 2 is coming | R5 astromech/X-Wing

The wait is almost over..... Andor season 2 will soon be here [April - UK].

The trailer looks great, a lot of action and from the comments I've read, all VERY positive.

Scanning the trailer, I found only one droid, apart from K2, and that was an R5 on top of an X-wing.

Just before Hyperspace jump.

Jumping to hyperspace.

We'll have to see what designation he is.....

Another new sticker for the toolbox

Found this on eBay and yes, I had to buy it.

I repositioned another sticker, as this one looked best next to the CFX crew stickers.

When you post a meme up on Twitter

The other day i had a light bulb 💡 moment 😄 when someone asked me about Christmas and that I was actually thinking about after it and the new
Book of Boba Fett.

And I then heard Drake mention on the radio….. I put the two together and came up with this ….. 😄

Added a few #hashtags and booom!
More likes than anything I’ve posted before lol 😄😄😄😄😄

2021 Topps Star Wars: Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary - Solo: A Star Wars Story - UK Card #11

Purely by chance did I see a notification on my phone yesterday from a tweet about this card. I swiped down to read it and immediately clicked on the Topps link.

There was only 3hrs remaining for availability to buy. Thankfully I was able to purchase one and tell a few other interested parties about it.
Only 28 days to wait for its arrival.......

Just need to find a reasonably priced Rogue One card on eBay 😄😄

Throwback Thursday: Celebration Europe 2016

What can I say!!

I had attended events before and was really excited to be joining builders from not just the UK, but also from Europe and further still. Some I’d only chatted with online in forums.

But I was not expecting the overwhelming feeling of excitement that hit me a few days before the event had even opened lol.

Arriving, unloading R5 and my gear, walking into the massive Star Wars arena was awesome!!
Club swag, celebration europe
Builders Club swag merch.
But I'll leave you the following links to go through to get the full picture:

.......Celebration Europe 2016 - part 6.......lol, no there is no part 6, think 5 was enough.

Just one of my highlights.....being stood two feet away from Andi, who was casually sat on the Star Wars stage....me trying to be casual and giving her a 'hi' smile.....whilst trying not to Fanboy out over her 😍 hahahaha 💗💗💗

Zoom - UK Droids MOT talk

With Zoom being THE group video web chatting app in this time of world isolation, club members have been using it to keep in touch with fellow builders around from around the world. I've unfortunately not been available to join in on the last week weekend group chats, the last one which recently happened was a marathon one from around the world!

Well last weekend the R2D2 Droid Builders Club UK hosted a chat about the MOT system for droids here in the UK. The chat covered the aspects of what is required to be cleared for droid and operator to attend events with the club and representing the club.

We had a bout 70/80 people join in to hear Darren, Lee, Sam, Mark, Oliver & myself talk about the reasons why we have the MOT. We had fellow members of the world wide club also in attendance to ask questions and to see if it could be something reproduced in their respective countries.

The Club has a high profile and close links with Disney/Lucas films, attending film premier's and other promotional events. Having your droid & you cleared safe to operate safely to attend events and as such, representing the Club, also means that you are then able to be included with PLI.

So if your a UK builder and want to see and hear about the process, check out the forum at www.astromech.info or on www.droidbuilders.uk or on the clubs Facebook pages, for details on Saturdays Zoom chat, I believe the recorded session will possibly be posted up.....

Treated myself to an early Christmas gift, ordered via Prime, it arrived Monday before Christmas.

Another great book, most interested in the droids section, specifically the Astromechs lol.
