March 2021
As the title says, this page is dedicated to 3D printed items, here are some of the things I have drawn up from around Star Wars. They are scaled to a size that they would appear to be, roughly 1:1 scale, unless stated otherwise.
Most of these can be found on my Thingiverse page & as of 2022, I now have a Prusa Printable account [Thingiverse items now transferred to here], clicking the link will take you to them.
I saw these two in the Solo official guide book and thought it would be good for ‘connecting’ up with R5 and his data port I installed in his Utility Arm socket.
After a few slight modifications, I started printing this.
After 12hrs, it wasn’t even half way printed. Think I should have reduced the support spacing, but hay, it is what it is lol.
Next up is this massive unit. It will require me to slice up to be able to print on my printer(s) lol.
I thought that this could be used as a similar item that is used to charge Astromech's, like the ‘Fusion Furnace’.

I had to slice up the parts into quarters for them to fit onto the S5’s printer bed. But I’ve started to print off the base. This will take a while, 8hrs per base section, usually overnight as I’ve become impatient with long day printing lol.
Two parts, trading card for scale |
Above picture shows two parts printed. I’ll be updating the Blog so click back to the main page for updates.
In my job I use Cura & an Ultimaker S5.
At home I have a TevoTarantula Pro (orange version) and have been using AstroPrint for creating my g.codes. This I found online and is simple and effective for my needs.... it's also free!
You can also connect to your printer and print directly from the website. I'm not able to due to location, so have to resort to good old fashion SD card transfer :D
