Andor - season 2 is coming | R5 astromech/X-Wing

The wait is almost over..... Andor season 2 will soon be here [April - UK].

The trailer looks great, a lot of action and from the comments I've read, all VERY positive.

Scanning the trailer, I found only one droid, apart from K2, and that was an R5 on top of an X-wing.

R5-D4's Motivator - modifications 1.0

Found my old sheet of gauze that I bought for my Stormtrooper 'nose' vents. It's now looking a bit rusty.....which is great lol.

I cut out a piece and finding a correct size piece of bar, shaped it over it so that it will fit in the end of my Motivator.

It is flat, but looks curved, once fixed in and inside painted up this won't show.....much lol

Shoulder Horseshoes 1.1

Bought 3mm thick hardboard for making the shoulder horseshoe build ups. Got the wood from B&Q for £3+.


I had to double check I had the right piece as the price had gone up over a £1 since April, when I first saw it!


I cut out the three different horseshoe template sizes I had printed out onto paper, that i'll transfere onto the hardboard. I'll then cut them as square blank, screw them together and cut out each set with the jigsaw.

Booster Leg Strut No1 complete

the squaqe top part of R5's leg strut. I used the lathe to turn the top diameter and undercut (groove). Then used the Milling machine to mill the four flats and drill the connecting angled hole.

Finished

After machining the top section to correct length, first leg strut complete. Next, strut no.2.
