** R5-D4 patch **

This is my design for an R5-D4 patch.

I had always wanted to do this as since starting my R5 build.

I'm not really a patch person, as from seeing others, it can get quiet an obsession lol. But when I was looking for R5-D4 patches (back then) there weren't any. There were a few Disney/Lucas Film pin badges, but no patches.

R5, unlike R2, doesn't have much in the way of distinctive dome panels or a 'Radar Eye' as a main feature. Though it does have the three main sensors & the red pie panels on top. But I wanted R5's distinctive dome/head shape to be the main outline of the patch.

I came up with a few ideas, some more complicated

(which would also in-cure additional cost to make), than others,

so I started to simplify the design.

As can be seen in the above picture (lower right).

I liked the idea of having the twin suns setting on Tatooine over the Lar's Homestead as it is part of the iconic & fateful scene for where we first meet R5.

So I thought, rather than have the seen outside of his dome, as in the above images, I transferred the scene to fit inside his dome/head outline.

And this became the final design.

These are of course up for sale as I know lots of people are R5-D4 fans.

I've sold quite  a few since getting these made. A lot to fellow R2 Builders Club members, but also to fellow friends from associated cosplay groups as well as world wide club friends.

I decided to open up an account on Etsy as eBay wasn't the right platform to sell on, although I did sell one patch on it lol. I've advertised also on my Instagram account as well as my Facebook page.

Yes, these are limited edition.

I did and will get more sticker versions made,

as these are smaller and the outlay is much more affordable.

I say these patches are limited as I have created and had made,

the patch that I wanted.
