Hello all, well at 8pm (20hr) GMT, the Blog has reached 500,000 views!!!

Blog hits a new high, reaching 300,000 views!!!

Blog views hits 180k plus

 It’s always nice to see that people do actually use/see/read my Blog lol.

And today it tripped over the 180k hits!

Monthly figures have been down since Google+ ended 🙁 and I’ve not been on social media much since the beginning of 2020 (no instagram or Facebook), though I have been back on FB recently. Twitter is my only other outlet for letting the outside world know about updates, that and the few astromech forums I’m on.

I do write articles/event reports that as well as my Blog, get uploaded to www.droidbuilders.uk though there’s no link back to my Blog.

Well, there’s more Blog posts to come, future events, 3D printing, droid building etc. so stay up-to date by ‘following’.

So a big thanks to everyone.

I first started this Blog as just a way to track my progress with building R5, as a way to help others.

Since completing him, I've moved onto attending events with the addition of R5 upgrades, new domes and a few other projects, check some of these out at the top of the page (viewed via a PC or from a drop down menu if using a mobile).

Google+ has now closed, meaning that letting people know I've posted is reducedd to just Facebook, Instagram & Twitter, though there are still a lot of people who follow, this Blog for info and advice.

Welcome to 2019

Back after the Christmas & New Year break,

and I’m back in work

& will be back to building and upgrading soon enough.

Well, that’s the plan for 2019.

I did get some of the new neck ring/skin put together before Christmas, but needed a few more pieces to complete the full circumference. So that was as far as I got, will continue once back at work.

www.astromech.net & www.astromech.info Have been on the forums briefly over the holiday period, welcoming new builders from here in the UK & from around the world. Hopefully giving them some pointers about info, blog reading etc before starting their droid build.

I made a small return to Twitter, auto-posts via Thingiverse mostly. Not much posting on Instagram either. Giving Facebook a small break is always a good thing, found just generally giving socials a break helps clear your mind, well it does for me.

Thanks to everyone who’s stopped by, noticed I hit 125,000 page views.

I hope this site has been of help.

There are more events requests lined up for the club this year,

including ones that I’ll hopefully be able to attend with R5.

.....was only a week ago that I posted up that people viewing this Blog had reached 97,000 hits.

Hi all, just noticed I've hit the 97,000 blog views.....WOW!

Just to say, thanks to everyone and that I hope this

Blog has been of use & entertainment to everyone.

I've a few more event's coming up this year with R5, including the possibility of another 'film day' with the other builders and costume groups for the new film 'The Last Jedi'. I'll keep you posted on this as and when I hear the plans.

See if I can post more up and get up to the 100,000 hits mark by Christmas lol,
