Instagram - I'm Back!

It's been 4 years since I was last on Instagram!

I gave myself a break from my social media when COVID hit (well nobody was going to be doing anything during lockdown (here is the UK)). And it was actually healthier for my mental state as I would get anxiety about not liking someone's post or missing one that then showed up a few days later in my 'feed'.

With Droid event's starting back up, I gradually came back online with Facebook then Twitter (why it's called X, as everyone still calls it Twitter I'll never know 😁).

Finally I’ve decided to jump back on Insta, search for james_r5d4, to catch-up with everything and also to help promote the upcoming event we'll be hosting here in #Bristol in July..... Have I mentioned it??? 😁😁😁

So I'll be liking a lot, post a little, but generally, re-joining the wider world again.

After donating (the money going to the charity CALM) & receiving my downloadable file, I printed off my Egg (cup) droid.

Deciding on a colour scheme had to change as others had beaten me to it lol.

It’s not the best, but it’s not bad..... I’d give it a 7/10 lol.

 Had a surprise Christmas card/gift the other day from fellow Bristol builder Mike B.

Always wanted one of these (below image) and over the years, I have attempted to create one.....but the results where something I wasn’t anywhere near happy with lol. Mike and his design, printing skills, came up with this tho.

Whatever your beliefs for the Christmas season, I’d like to wish all who are reading this, a very Happy Christmas from myself & of course R5.

Mental Health message:

2020 has not been a good year for all of us, in many different ways and then there’s COVID to top it all off. I like to think of myself as a ‘glass half full’ person and try to always look on the positive side of life. Perspective is always a good thing to keep in mind when things don’t look good, they can and do, get better! Find a little something that makes you smile and feel good, keep these little happy moments and add to them. I find (apart from family/my children) that being creative, designing, making stuff really helps me.

2021 is on its way so a new year, new start and hopefully we can all get back to what we used to call, normal!

If you need to seek more help, see your Dr, there’s NO shame in asking for help!

If you don’t feel you can’t in person, then try contacting CALM, the Charity Against Living Miserably.

Glynn & R2-D2 walk across the Humber Bridge for CALM charity

 Tomorrow Glynn & his R2-D2 will be walking the length of the Humber Bridge.

Applied one of the 39.1% stickers to my case.

First event in a long time will be this Friday......

39.1% droid stickers for 'Calm'

Yesterday I received my 39.1% Stickers thanks to Lee Towersey.

They measures approx. 125mm x 125mm at widest points.

The best thing though about them is that all profit will be donated to the CALM charity www.thecalmzone.net
